I'm not upset if it stays that way: isn't this going to make more work for all the linux folk? mythic will surely start changing encryption/offsets all the time now...
I'd think this would be seen as a negative.

maybe Mythic will change the encryption. But look at it that way:
- Who uses excalibur? Big players. What's the needed material: a hub, a network sniffer, a second computer. Is it a majority of players? No. Will there be more people using CamelotSharp than using Excalibur? I really doubt it. Will they change the encryption or other things? Surely enough at one time or another they will, but we're smart people aren't we?
- Does Daox changes as often as the game.dll file? Yes it does. Is this a problem? Not really (but they definitly need an autoupdate feature :-) ).
So will CamelotSharp change the world? No. Is it a huge fucking cool piece of code? No. It's slow, quite ugly for the moment, kinda alpha software. Who knows what the future will be? Having a win32 version won't be such a big disaster considering all the above. And if there's code on linux, there should be code on windows, and even on mac (though i don't know anything about programming under macox).
For the moment, CamelotSharp is a proof of concept, we'll see what the future is. Until then, i'll try to post the code asap.
