    I have .NET 1.0 with SP2 installed.
When I start Monitoring my system gets slowed down. The control center uses nearly 70% - 100% of cpu time.

I uses WinXP on an AMD XP 2000+ and 512 MB-Ram.

ok, been having a lot of return on this bug, but need to reproduce it to hunt it down. What network adapter are you using?

I'm the guy who asked about shared dialup.  Thought that may have been the problem, but I had a chance to move things around and still have trouble.  The second I click the monitor for game button I'm spiking 100% cpu.  :(  I have a 3com ethernet card and a P4 1.5ghz if that helps.  Looking forward to next binary release technoboy!  Woots!

Hi! (I'm the one who started this thread and the one who uses the AT2500-TX)

What kind of PPPOE are you using? I am using RASPPPOE 0.98B (http://www.raspppoe.com/). If I am using the WAN-Miniport driver of Windows XP the system does a reset.
I also tried the different WinCAP version 2.3 and 3.0.

I think you can make it!

      ok
as said before if you use pppoe no luck for you, the sniffer doesn't read ppoe packets, which explains the high cpu usage.

only way you can use camelotsharp for the moment is pure ip over ethernet, no ppp. Maybe i'll get to implement it for next version...

btw, it's completely untested under 3.0

      Thanks for your feedback

I am experiencing this problem on pure ethernet on my company network. I have a compaq EVO 600 desktop, with an ati radeon 700 64MB DDR.
I believe that there is indeed something going on here with the control center sucking all the cpu power - even if I am running no applications and I click the 'start monitoring for game' button, my cpu usage jumps to 100%. Please look into this.

Okay so lets say you have pppoe or shared dial-up and then used wingate 'er whatever to share that connection accross a lan.  Now on the lan your back to ethernet and all should be fine?

Control center and vision worked great under winME.  Could run DAoC on the same comp with no lag.  How ever under windows xp on the same comp, it cause HUGE CPU useage.

When its using major CPU usage I normally find if I minimise a few windows that an uncaught exception has been fire, and the app is about to crash.
