If you are lucky the SVN plugin will work for you better than it did  
for me...  If you have the raw SVN client installed it should work  
fine....  I have that, and then I installed the SVN explorer plugin  
(tortise sp) and things seem to crash now on startup with the SVN  
plugin enabled.  My attempts to recompile the SVN plugin from the  
sources have been not successful but it appears that there might have  
been a bugfix in the sources which are not included in the binaries  
from their website.
