Hi, Fairly new to using c3p0... is there any way we can
configure c3p0 connection pool for a specific project
only in tomcat. In other words, is there a way to set
the resource and bind the JNDI outside of server.xml of
tomcat.

Thanks in advance,

Sorry this is so long unaddressed. You can set up and bund a
c3p0 DataSource where-ever you like, depending on your
application's set up and the JNDI namespaces it has access
to. But how to set up a JNDI namespace "private" to one web
application in Tomcat is something I don't have any insight
    about, though.

c3p0-0.9.1-pre6 and above supports the configuration of
multiple pools with separate configurations in its config
file, the idea being to set up multiple, project specific
pools. But this doesn't affect where the pools can be found,
and by which problems, in your JNDI namespace.
