BZFlag already has anaglyph, stacked, and opengl stereo 3D. This patch adds cross-eyed 3D using a split screen.
Now the problems:
Because menu text size is based on the height of the quadrant it is in instead of the width, the menu edges get cut off with thin quadrants, regardless of view type. Running with normal view mode and a thin window still cuts the menu.
If the height of the window was half the width, the menu would be fine, like it is with stacked view. But using -view forces fullscreen.
Another option is leaving half of the screen black, which I think no one wants to do.
Or drawing parts of the UI in separate overlapping quadrants so the menu is forced small while radar, scores, etc. are still in their places.
So, I leave it up to you to decide where this will go and what has to be done to get it there.
-I don't have the extension for stereo view, so maybe I'm missing something
