Bugs item #523223, was opened at 2002-02-26 20:28 You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=103248&aid=523223&group_id=3248 Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Eric Kimminau (ekimminau) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: mysterious application exit Initial Comment: I have had a number of occurances where I am trying to jump which I have a chat command line open and inadvertantly hit a backspace key after the tab to jump. I believe I "may" have identified the cause of my mysterious exits: http://homepages.tesco.net/~J.deBoynePollard/FGA/csrss -backspace-bug.html I would suggest a code fix to ignore any backspace sent immediately after a tab. I have had this problem with 1.7e2, 1.72fx and 1.7e4 all on WIn32 (Win2KPro/WinXP) Eric. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Eric Kimminau (ekimminau) Date: 2002-10-25 00:08 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=461034 OK, I am now running WinXP SP1 with the latest Microsoft signed nVidia GeForce4 drivers. I have also tried the latest directly from nVidia as well as the latest Detonator drivers for the last 3 months. I am constantly seeing BZFlag just die. Nothing consistant causes it. It occurs any numerous maps. There are occaisions where I can play for several hours and then suddenly BZ will die every 5 minutes. BZ doesn't report its application fault anywhere. Event log, core file, nothing. When it dies I see the same Gamma problem. Luckily nVidia includes a desktop widget that lets you restore hardware defaults with a right click on an icon. I have now experienced this problem on 1.7e2, e4, e6 and e7. I would be happy to capure more significant data but BZ doesn't generate any. Can a developer work with me to try to resolve this. Its really pissing me off. EAK. P.S. Hey Chris!
