#1 Seg Fault on broadcast

I believe byRequest is segfaulting on a TiVo probe for
service? For some reason, my DVR does not have a name,
and think the getHostid() call in beacon.c on line 73
is causing the segfault (I replaced getHostid() with a
dummy string "test"), and the segfault went away.

First bug, yea me.
