We are back!

It has been a while, since I posted the last news item for the project. Because of several reasons I as not able to work further on the project. But I'm back and a new version of the software is coming soon. This will be version 0.6.0 and is still a beta version. Several websites are using the system at this moment, after enough testing I will introduce the stable version.

The demo of the system on the project homepage is offline, I hope to make it available as soon as possible!

Documentation

I wrote some documentation and added it to the documentation library on Sourceforge. In the future we will publish more information and guidelines to help everyone using the system.

The developments are going fast, the base system is almost ready and we can start developing the modules. I hope to offer you a great system in the future!

CVS added

The project is now placed at the CVS servers of Sourceforge.net. You can see the changes over there. As you may have noticed, I have a second developer found and we are working hard for a new release.

We still can use people to build plugins, so please contact us to help with this project.

Total new version

I'm working on a total new version of byFly.net! The features are the same, but the use of it is very improved.
For developers: object orientated programming, easy include plugins.
For users: Easy admin panel with drag-and-drop screens and always a view on your site!
For webdesigners: Fly HTML tags are made easy, so confering a html file to a Fly-template is really easy. And frames and forms are supported, not yet in the WYSIWYG editor, but that will come soon!
For translators: New translation system with PHP interface... read more

Re-scripting

Some people might have noticed it: the code was a real mess! So I'm working on a grand new script, now with classes and functions. New language control is added, and ability to create your own admin-skins in the future.

Also added a new type of tag: each. With this one you could insert a whole table into a page, very usefull for menu's!!

Several bugs

A few hours after the previous release, we discoverd some major bugs. The WYSIWYG editor doesn't load always and the installation process has problems. We fixed those bugs, but we are waiting with releasing a new version.

The reason: we have a lot of new features waiting, so we want to insert them first before releasing anything again. The new stuff is:

- Plugins: add your one scripts and features to the system (think of editors, analysers, photogallery's and guestbooks)
- phpOpenTracker and FCKeditor are default installed in the packages.
- Universal tables: store data in tables, anything you want. With userfriendly admin panel and lots of features via plugins. Photo's, visitors or rates, everything will fit.... read more
