In short it comes to this:
- Edit firewall.xml
- Compile it with bwm_firewall
- Load the generated ruleset in your iptables config with =
iptables-restore
- start bwmd daemon
- check if it's working with bwm_monitor
for the graphs, read the docs that comes with bwm_tools.
BTW, there is a readme file included in the distribution, you should =
browse it for details.
You can refer to my experience with bwm_tools on http://www.murder4al.be

Subject: [bwm-tools-tech] bwm-tools bandwidth management.
Hi,
Having installed the bwm-tools,=20
1. How do I use it to manage bandwidth. Say I have a block of IPs =
eg.192.168.0.1/28 that I want to give 64kbps, how can I do this?
2. How do I view the graphs?
Thanks,
George |
