Increase audio device limit from 100
Icecast and Shoutcast broadcasting client

Is it possible to increase the device support above 100? I have 100 Virtual Audio Cables plus voicemeeter potato, so I can't see all of the devices I want to stream.
If not, it's OK, I think I can make it work by moving BUTT devices to 50-75 instead of 76-100. I'm only streaming 25.
Hi Mark, you as a user can not increase the limit of audio devices but I can increase the limit for the next butt version.
How do you get to this crazy number of virtual audio cables? Are you working with an orchestra or something?
Best,
Daniel
LOL! Some people have likened what I do to an orchestra or symphony
performance.. a symphony of "scammer tears". There's a community of
people who combat various scams; SSA/IRS, Amazon "fraudulent order",
Windows firewall refund, and all kinds of company impersonations
scams.. the list goes on forever. These people call themselves
"scambaiters", and employ a variety of tactics. Everything from making
educational and entertaining videos on YouTube or Twitch, wasting
scammers' time, to a smaller group who try to hack the scam call
centers computers (Jim Browning on YT is the king of that), and an
even smaller group (which I belong to) that have the ability to
perform a Telephony Denial of Service (TDOS), a.k.a call flood.
Despite what most believe, there are no laws against it, so I report
their phone number to the VOIP carrier, then inundate them with so
many calls that no one else can get through. I used to play a simple
but annoying recording, but have now created "live interactive call
floods".
My channel, if interested, is https://www.youtube.com/c/GenesisFloods
Viewers call my phone number, and I've written code that allows me to
connect them to a target call center. So now, instead of a recording,
I'm flooding the call center with live human ammunition. It's
hilarious :) How I do that is through the use of virtual audio cables.
A viewer (scambaiter) calls me, my PBX connects them to an extension
and a waiting MicroSIP client auto-answers. Another MicroSIP client,
connected via VACs then calls the scammer. Scambaiter caller IDs are
protected by my system because I use a different phone with 100 of my
CIDs to dial out to the scammer. In addition to the VACs to connect
the phones, I use an additional VAC per "phone pair" to send audio to
Magic Waveform Visualizer to represent call audio on the screen (more
than pretty, I can identify ringing phones, hold music, no activity,
etc visually in addition to aurally). Then, another VAC per phone pair
is connected to BUTT to stream individual calls to IceCast. Some of my
viewers are unable to listen to the chaotic audio of the main stream.
One person has said that it's "physically painful". So, BUTT and
IceCast allows these people to enjoy listening to scammers get what
they deserve :)
sorry for the long explanation! LOL

@vc-bipak I hope you saw my reply.. it's awaiting moderation
Hi yes I did. This moderation thing is new to me, sorry.
no problem :) I've managed to get everything working fine by just adjusting the cables I use for the different applications. I guess it's the way windows loads audio, but the ID of the cables aren't in any sort of order. Cable 50 might be device 23, etc. I just moved things around a bit, so it works. I had the same issue with MicroSIP not seeing enough devices. They made a custom MicroSIP client for me for a very reasonable price.
Thanks for your very lengthy reply and explanation. I have read it all :)
Increasing the number isn't a problem at all. Would 256 be enough?
lol sorry.. mom said I started talking at an early age... and never stopped!
256 would be great! Thank you
Hahaha, ok. Next version will come with support for 256 devices :)
