Ah, thanks.  I looked for librsync in the conf files but couldn't see
it.  Using that command shows that it is switched on.  I'll turn it off
and see what happens.

I'm guessing this points to a problem with the server setup, I created
it from a "live" disk, which, it seems, is not as good as a "full
install".  I'm hoping it's not because the burp server is now version 3
not 2.
