The best way to help out is to help with the code. The BuildGen executable is written in C++ and there are convenient header files for parsing the BuildGen output file. That being said generators can be programed in any language (although C/C++ are preferred). We also need help with the standard library. If you are looking for things to do look at the issue tracker as I will try to keep my whole to-do list there. That way it is easy to set targets and know who is working on it.
If you don't have the know-how to help develop you can be a huge help by telling us about our software. If something that doesn't work or doesn't do what you want it to do we would love to know. Submit bug reports and feature request via Trac.
You can also help just by talking in our form. Even if you don't have something issue tracker worthy. By posting in the form, be it about something you are having trouble with or something that you find odd, helps us get to know our audience and make BuildGen simpler and more intuitive to use.
A really easy build system isn't easy without documentation. Please use our wiki (not the one in Trac) to write tutorials, document formats (such as our XML) and other things that people need to know to develop or use BuildGen.
We are not currently accepting donations but that may change. If you would really like to donate money, please think about the people who's software is used in BuildGen such as Lua and RapidXml
