Filler+Pipes = Extreme Lag

Using a filler to place a line of pipes causes EXTREME lag, your game crashes, no errors at all, nothing in the modloader.txt
1.use 2 landmarks to define 1 flat 1x1 area in a straight line
2.place a filler to have it take over this line(use the 'fill entire area' recipe)
3.power that baby up
4.place pipes in - wait until it gets to the fifth or sixth pipe (lag spike!)
Tested in ssp/smp

I tested this extensively, it also appears the faster you have the filler going(with engines) the sooner the bug occurs
bug found by @precognist on MCFs
If this can't be solved, may I suggest a pipe layer?
