No - but depending on the need/tradeoff, it might be better... (see below).

That is understandable. It is probably the number one missing feature in the 
bugzilla WebService API - but _lots_ are missing. You can check 
the "Webservice" component in the mozilla bug base.

There is a bug for a "simple search":

If you read it, you get an impression of the speed with which bugzilla 
moves.. :-/ It does however move.

You can pester them on that bug if you think it is what you need - and when 
the interface is ready, it should be a small job to add the gluecode to 
bugzproxy.

Me too - see the bugzilla bug.

Unfortunately, my company does not sponsor me to do bugzilla patches at the 
moment. It did initially, but focus has changed here.
