The attached patch improves documentation building and fixes a few documentation bugs. Specifically:

In ".cvsignore", disregard several files generated from other sources already in CVS. I also recommend that you remove "buddy.ps", "example.pstex", "example.pstex_t", "varblock.pstex", and "varblock.pstex_t" from CVS for the same reason. If you prefer to keep these derived files in CVS, you should remove them from ".cvsignore" after applying this patch.

In "Makefile.am", add buddy documentation targets to the standard "make pdf", "make ps", and "make dvi" rules. Generate figures automatically from XFig as needed. Include XFig figure sources in source distributions. Include rendered PostScript and PDF documentation in source distributions as well, for the benefit of users who do not have LaTeX installations.

In "buddy.tex", switch from epsfig to the more modern (and less PostScript-specific) graphicx package. Make a few other small changes so that we can build PDF versions of this document.

In "example.fig" and "varblock.fig", change from landscape to portrait so that figures have the proper orientation in the PDF/DVI/PS documentation.

In "jbln.bib", add a missing trailing comma to one entry.
