Hi,
I have been running BinkleyTerm on OS/2 for several
years, and have just started the upgrade(?) to
WINNT.
So far the conversion is going well, except for one
point. I cannot bet BT32 to open com10 and above.
I get the following error message:
"Couldn't initialize COM10. Make sure the port isn't
in use by another process, that you are permitted
access to it, and if you are using a modem on another
computer make sure it's online."
I am using a 16 port DIGI-Board, com3 through com9
work great with BT32.
I can get to all 16 com ports with HyperAccess.
I am running WIN2K.
I have this probelm with BT32xe 2.60xe/Gamma-6(ntcomm)
and
BT32XE 2.60xe/Beta-XH7
Any hints or suggestions?
Thanks
Byron

Hi,
I found the solution to this problem.
It seems that WinNT and Win2k require the following form
for com ports > 9.
port \\.\com10
You can use the form for any com port, eg
port \\.\com1
This is documented on the Digi support areas,
www.digi.com
