Timid? Try Testing!

Wanted to get involved with software development but you don't know how to start? Testing is a good way to learn the ropes and come into contact with the developers. It is also a great way to start in this industry.

What do you need to be a tester? Absolutely nothing. Just tell me you want to be a tester and I'll help you get set up.

I have started a place to store testing ideas at doc/testing.

Testers do a routine check to see if everything is working pretty good. It is called a sanity check. I wrote some instructions on how you can do a sanity check. The instructions are purposely vague because I don't want you to do exactly the same thing each time.

If you have ideas on how to test things, add it to the list in the appropriate spot. I'll show you how you can check it in to CVS and such. It's really quite simple.

Most importantly, be sure to tell me when there is a problem with anything at all. I want to get this working quickly, and if I get a bug report, I try to squash them as quickly as possible.
