This has never been resolved. Subject: BTR Wizard Date: 22 Mar 2002 18:42:32 +0100 The program doesn't work at all on my Windows XP system. It scans the files alright, but doesn't replace anything (it finds nothing to replace?). The funny thing is, it used to work at first, but only for one day - since then I tried it several times, double checked everything, even reinstalled it (which doesn't remove the cumulative statistics - strange) but no success. It's a pitty, it is such a useful utility and as a web designer I need something like that badly. On your site you mention only Win95/98, not Win2000 and WinXP, does it not work on these systems? Win98 is a rather outdated operating system, isn't it? Maybe you can help + thanks for your time. Best regards Johannes www.programming.de |

Subject: Problem with batch text replacer Date: 26 Feb 2002 16:21:58 +0100 Hello! I encountered a problem with the BTR: On a local drive I had a file named D:\Paedagogik\agn\pkraft\hofende\~$chtrag.htm which was attributed _H_A________ every time the BTRWiz 2.2 tried to access this file it crashed. I'm running Win XP Pro with actual patches. Setting the attribut to non hidden everything went fine. Did you know that the BTRWiz is mentioned in a German computer magazine? The link where you can read online is: http://www.heise.de/ct/shareware/default.shtml?prg=8217 Be careful it is in German... Bye, Peter. |
