It basically means that a release isn't really a release but a moving target, and that the FreeBSD port will stop working every time you upload a new tarball. My wish would be that a tar ball, once released, is left untouched, so the port can be used with the old version until I have time to update it. Is it really necessary to upload a new tar ball that often? People who want the latest features could always check out the source via CVS, after all... Regards, Stefan |
