You're using directory names with comas and spaces inside, as shown by
your prompt:
thrasymachus:~/Applications/Lyx, LaTeX, BibTeX stuff/btparse-0.34 stefano$

As space is shell list item separator, and coma is used by autoconf as
sed pattern delimiter, you're just running into troubles, as illustrated
for instance by:
/Users/stefano/Applications/Lyx,: /Users/stefano/Applications/Lyx,: No
such file or directory

You'd better try again with sane directory names.

BTW, why do you btparse 0.34, when 0.35 is available from
http://search.cpan.org/dist/btparse/ ?
