As outlined in the table below, mech vibroblades come
in three sizes and folow the standard rules for
mounting and using swords in combat (see p. 147, BMR),
with the following exceptions. First, when delivering
an attack, the attacker must declare whether the weapon
is activated or deactivated. When active, vibroblades
generate heat regardless of whether they hit or miss
the target, and deliver the same damage regardless of
the wielder's size. TSM and actuator damage (though
actuator damage still affects BTH) do not affect attack
damage, as the damage comes from the vibration of the
blade more than from brute force. If the sword is
deactivated, they do affect the attack. When
deactivated, a vibroblade delivers the same damage as a
normal sword (p. 147 BMR) any hit to a vibroblade's
critical slots disables the blade and renders it
useless. A mech may make only one vibroblade attack per
turn.

Small Vibroblade
Heat: 3
Damage: 7
Tons: 3
Crits: 1

Medium Vibroblade
Heat: 5
Damage: 10
Tons: 5
Crits: 2

Large Vibroblade
Heat: 7
Damage: 14
Tons: 7
Crits: 4

Note: When blades are deactivated, damage is dealt with
the formula: Tonnage / 10, rounded up to +1
