Hello,

to track changes is good via E-Mail; but I prefer an RSS-
Feed.

So I implemented it. See the attached file:

rss.aspx and RssCreator.cs

Just copy to the btnet directory and subscribe...

To add an RSS-Link in the menu you have to merge the
    attached util.cs and btnet_base.css file...

I don't mean the following to sound harsh or mean. When I
first read this post I got kind of excited because RSS is
something I don't know much about and it seems kinda cool
and hip, but after I looked at the code, I didn't understand
    what the advantage is.

So, WHY do you prefer an RSS feed to email?

The app currently pushes bug notifications as soon as they
happen to all interested users via email. The RSS info
only arrives when a user decides to pull it, which might be
later. (ok, an email client is pulling too....)

There are a set of options (and I'm adding more) where users
can fine-tune what notifications to receive. With your
RSS, however, there are no options to fine tune the RSS
info. It dumps the entire bug_comment table each time.

BugTracker.NET has a permission system which your RSS feed
logic ignores, so any user could see info on any bug.

First: This was just a implementation with the goal to make
an RSS-Feed over ALL bug_comment entries. And it was an
implementation which took about 2 hours.

Second: It can be changed and filtered as much as you want!
One way to do this is by "parameters"
    (e.g. rss.aspx?project=MyProject" or
    rss.aspx?state=Open&project=Yours)

by the way: In your configuration an user can also
select "Auto-Subscribe All" which enables notification access
    to all bugs...

You could also add some configuration entries for allowing all
users access to the RSS-Feed or only to the Bugs which are
    assigned to the user.

If you are more familar with RSS-Feeds you would also prefer
it... From the server side it is not good, because it makes
    more traffic...

It was just an idea. You do not need to put it in your
disribution if you do not like...

    Greetings
    Jochen

You can also make it optional (maybe by an admin-setting)...
