I booted from my USB drive to SBM, it made some change to my C: drive, which is SATA; Here is the description now: _ _ _ _ a A _ _ _ _ I try to boot into XP and get "Operating system not found". Great.
I tried booting from XP CD and doing "fixboot" then "fixmbr". No luck. Also, Ubuntu lists the drive as not even formatted. What did SBM do??!
Any help appreciated :)
Oh I forgot, I had my "C" drive partitioned to C:\ and D:\
OK so I booted into the recovery console - all my files are there on both partitions; Can I try "diskpart" to get my drive letters back?
The problem was the boot partition had been marked inactive somehow… Fixed it, but now I have to reinstall XP :( Cheers
