Particularly after cloning and often on RAID machines
but not always, I get the nasty SBMK Bad! error, and
am unable to always recover by reinstallation using
SBMINST -D 128
Work around when reinstall fails is using GDISK
(similar to FDISK) to rewrite the MBR and then clone
just the partition rather than the whole image file.
This error most often happens on a new machine when
cloned from a Ghost 7 image that was created with
the -IB switch (Image Boot, which includes the boot
sector in the image).
Any ideas on if/how this could be avoided in future
releases, or am I doing something that will never be
possible to support?

Is a utility like EasyBIOS installed? If so, that is causing the
error.
