Hi,

I have installed the superwaba 5.83 on my Asus A620BT (Windows mobile 3) and now the program starts correctly.
But when I try to open the port via bluetooth to reach the GPS data logger, the field of the page remain empty.
The bluetooth connection tab not always starts when a push the (Re)open port. I've select the correct port number (6).
I've tryed to open the bluetooth connection before to start BTB747 software, but nothing change. I notice on the bluetooth status connection that 0 bytes are exchanged.

Normally I use the GPS device via bluetooth with TOMTOM and it works.

Can you help me in some way ?. What I can check ?

Thank you

On this device you should not use the 'bluetooth' button, but the 'connect port nbr' button.

If that does not work with port 6, try other port numbers.

I verified the correct port number is 6. I've installed the GSPview utility from www.transystem.com.tw and it works correctly on port 6.

I use the 'connect port nbr' button but then (not always) appear the bluetooth connection tab. So I choose the GPS device, but all fields remain empty.

I suppouse that there is some problem in the superwaba enviroment in the use of the serial port of my PDA.

Can you suggest me some other test to do.

    Thanks

Did you do the hardware hack ? (add a 1k resistor to your device).
Without it, bidirectional communciation is impossible.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand where I must put the 1K resistor. Can you specify it.
However with other software the connection works well.
    Thank you

A link to instruction is on this project's wiki page. This is the link http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=81990&whichpage=1.

Also, this application is for control of the device - currently it does not interpret the live GPS position data that other application do interpret.

I should add something to show at least some position data for your type of problem, but hey, this is open source!

I patch my GPS device BTB747 with the hardware hack that you indicate me, and finally your software work correctly. Now I can control my device and I see the data in the fields.

Thank you so much for your patience

Hurray for the open source movement !!!!
