It would be nice if instead of being spread over multiple lines like now:

<trkpt lat="49.86049617" lon="8.56819008" >
<ele>102.991</ele>
<time>2011-02-11T11:27:14.000Z</time>
<speed>1.1450</speed>
<type>T</type>
<sat>8</sat>
<hdop>1.08</hdop>
<vdop>0.81</vdop>
</trkpt>

if trackpoints (or waypoints) would use only a single line.

Why does it matter to me? I sometimes hand edit the gpx file to remove trackpoints. That's much nicer with a single line per trackpoint.

Also you can easily answer: "where have I been 2011-02-11?" by a simple:
> grep "2011-02-11" *.gpx

I'm attaching two gpx files. The first (shortened) one as it is generated now. The second file is hand edited to be more friendly to human readers.
