No

EXIF data in JPEG files are corrupted after inserting GPS tags by BT747 v2.X.1704.
If I tried it with inplace tags, the original non GPS data are corrupted.
For example:
original:
Macro mode - Normal
Self timer - Off
Image Type - Canon EOS 450D

tagged:
Macro mode - Off
Self timer - 8950/10 sec
Image Type - 0Loyyyyy

I am attaching complete diff of EXIF data before and after GPS tagging

    Hi
Can you send me a sample image, that way I can work on it.
The difficulty with EXIF is that manufacturer do not quite follow the specs - I do not exclude a but in BT747 of course, but it will be easier to work to a solution with an image - any image from your camera will do.

I uploaded original and tagged images. I cannot upload real (full size) original image because of upload file size limit on SF is 256k, but EXIF is the same.
Let me know if you need full size original image. Then I will try to upload it to somewhere else and send you a link.

Thank you for you work and response!

    Hi
It seems that I found what is really in error, so next step is to fix it. I need to adjust the makernotes offset.

So is it easy to fix?
Can I expect the fix in next release? :)

    Thank you again

It is not very complicated to fix but I have been very busy.

    You can try 2.X.1721 .

    It works now!
Thank you very much for your quick response.

Now I have another issue with "balloon markers" on the Map tab (or on the tab "Files to tag"), each photo is shown as 2 overlayed markers on the map, each marker can be moved to another position and I don't understand why... but this is unrelated to corrupted EXIF issue so this one can be closed.

Should I start another bug report with more details?

Anyway, thanks for the great tool!

No problem to keep this thread open - otherwise you can go to bt747.org to go discuss in the forums there.

The 'balloon' markers correspond to waypoints. These can be 'waypoints' recorded by the device (you pressed a button), or these can be the pictures.

I am surprised that each picture corresponds to 2 markers, I'll check that out. The fact that you can move them is to allow you to adjust the position of the picture. After moving the picture, you can 'commit' the same way as after tagging the pictures.
