BT Auto Locker is an intelligent utility for Windows that automatically locks your computer whenever a trusted Bluetooth device (such as your phone, headphones, or watch) moves beyond the specified range, ensuring your system remains secure.
ποΈ Adjustable SS distance threshold
πΎ Save & rename known devices
πͺ Runs silently in the background
π Dark & Light Mode support
π Simple & intuitive GUI
BT Auto Locker offers a user-friendly and intuitive interface, thoughtfully designed to prioritize simplicity and clarity.
BT Auto Locker continuously monitors the signal strength of your Bluetooth device. When the signal drops below a set threshold, indicating your device is out of range, it automatically locks your computer to protect your data. This process runs silently in the background, ensuring your system stays secure whenever you step away.

When monitoring is no longer required, click Stop Monitoring to halt device scanning and monitoring activities.
BT Auto Locker uses the Bluetooth signal strength of your trusted device to determine when to automatically lock your computer.
This signal strength is measured using RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator), a value that reflects how close your device is.
β
Stronger signal (e.g., -50
) means the device is nearby
β Weaker signal (e.g., -80
) means the device is farther away
You can configure the RSSI threshold in the app settings:
When the signal drops below the selected threshold (i.e., becomes weaker), the app will lock your computer.
When the signal remains above the threshold (i.e., stays strong), the system remains unlocked.
RSSI Threshold | Behavior |
---|---|
-60 | Locks the PC when the device is just a few feet away (more sensitive). |
-85 | Locks only when the device is much farther away (less sensitive). |
β οΈ Signal strength can vary depending on your hardware, physical barriers (like walls), and Bluetooth interference.
Itβs recommended to experiment with different threshold values to find the most reliable setting for your environment.
