The correct behavior is the viewport is set to mobile if at least 1 connected client is a mobile device.
If all mobile clients have disconnected, viewport should be reset to non mobile (ie, desktop).
This is not about screen dimensions, merely about the flag to indicate if the device is mobile, which influences whether the website renders as a mobile or desktop version.
