I just installed BRL-CAD on my Macbook Pro. I tried opening opening the application from the applications window and get a popup window that shows a progress bar and messages that says the window will close in 5 seconds. The window closes and BRL-CAD never opens. I downloaded the OS X version 7.24.0. I've tried reinstalling BRL-CAD and get the same popup window and non-responsiveness.

What do I need to do to open BRL-CAD?

Here's a screen capture of the popup window's detailed message.

Hi George. Curious that it got that far along without informing you of the required dependency... Basically, it looks like you need to install X11. See https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201341 for more details. We're working on eliminating the need for X11, but for now it is needed.
