I just installed BRL-CAD on my Macbook Pro. I tried opening opening the application from the applications window and get a popup window that shows a progress bar and messages that says the window will close in 5 seconds. The window closes and BRL-CAD never opens. I downloaded the OS X version 7.24.0. I've tried reinstalling BRL-CAD and get the same popup window and non-responsiveness.

Hi George. Curious that it got that far along without informing you of the required dependency... Basically, it looks like you need to install X11. See https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201341 for more details. We're working on eliminating the need for X11, but for now it is needed.
