Thanks for the reply, I almost forgot about this. I get how to use gets.
Thing is, when in the command window for mged, if you issue "gets stdin Junk"
it returns immediately without reading anything. The return value is -1 and
nothing gets assigned to $Junk. I don't want to run in classic mode, but I
did try this there as well. In that case, it does seem to wait for you to
enter data from the command line, but then locks up mged on the return.
Also, I went looking through other source code and found what appears to be an
ugly workaround to get input from the mged prompt in the prj-add.tcl script.
I'm not at all above using a workaround, but I don't understand how this
really works in the first place. I'm new to Tcl and I'm trying to port my
knowledge over from autolisp, C and scheme.
