There's only a very slim chance of getting accepted, but I wanted to let folks know that I applied for BRL-CAD to participate in this year's Doc Sprint. Basically, if accepted, folks sent to California will get to write a quick-start introduction (a book) for BRL-CAD. Again, it's a slim chance with only like five projects getting accepted last year, but keep the first week of December open just in case if you're interested.
Having seen some of the books from previous events, they are impressive and would certainly help grow our community. If accepted, we can send up to five people and anyone interested can attend (if you're reading this, you're eligible). Google covers all room and board for the week so they can just focus on writing. ;)
Technically, everyone can apply as an individual regardless of BRL-CAD being accepted. Everyone attending is assigned to one of the accepted projects. Today (or maybe yesterday, but the form is still up) is the last day to register if that is of interest to you.
