I have been having a problem with the pipe command. I
create a pipe, select the first point, move it
somewhere in one view, then move it in another view,
only to have it snap back to where it was in the
previous view. For example, move a point in the left
view, switch to a front view and move it again, switch
back to the left view and the point has snapped back to
where it was originally in that view (ie the x
coordinate of point 0). Move it again, switch to the
front view and see that it has snapped back to where it
was originally in that view (ie the y coordinate of
point 0). It always snaps to the coordinate of point
0. If you are in multipane mode, you can see this occur.
Another thing I notice when this occurs is when you
select a point, the letters 'pt' show up at that point
but there are no coordinate axes there. When it is
working properly, I get 'pt' and axes at the selected
Now if you quit BRL-CAD and then bring it back up, e up
your pipe, it works fine until you create a new pipe.
This problem used to occur on rare occasion, usually
when editing an existing pipe, but now it seems to
happen every time I create a new pipe. What is going on?
I am running 7.8.0 on Linux RH9.
