I successfully built bristol 0.60.7 on fedora14. When you run the configure script, you will get an error that config.guess and config.sub are out of date. Get the newest ones from:
config.guess -> http://git.savannah.gnu.org/gitweb/?p=config.git;a=blob_plain;f=config.guess;hb=HEAD
config.sub -> http://git.savannah.gnu.org/gitweb/?p=config.git;a=blob_plain;f=config.sub;hb=HEAD
Replace those two files, then install the following packages:
su -c 'yum install gcc alsa-lib-devel jack-audio-connection-kit-devel libX11-devel'
su -c 'make install'
Worked for me.
I will look to put those files into the next distribution. The version I was using was not that old but Fedora obviously prefers something recent.
Many thanks, regards, nick.
Just to qualify that - I will put the two config files into the next distribution. The packages that you downloaded with yum will still have to be done separately. Pleased it works there and again thanks for the update Jeffrey.
