Hi Pramod, Currently we do not have a McSPI driver for the BRF6300 although it is supported from the HW perspective. Usually we use the UART for connecting the BRF 6300 on the OMAP3430 platform (UART2). For using UART2, please make sure in S6 the relevant UART switch is on (6-UART1, 7-UART2). Best regards, Yaniv ________________________________ From: brf...@li... Subject: [BRFLinux] brf6300 interfaced to McSPI on omap-zoom SDK Hi All I am working on omap3430 omap-zoom SDK. I am working on Bluetooth. In datasheet its shows that Bluetooth chip which is brf6300 is interfaced to McSPI. Is that possible? What are the changes needed to be made to driver side. Also there is support for Bluetooth UART interface on it. But some hardware changes are needed. I just wanted to know whether Bluetooth is possible on McSPI as I didn't found any instance on net that will say that its possible. Thanks for the time and consideration.p Thanks and Best regards Pramod ________________________________ ________________________________ Bring your gang together. Do your thing. This support is currently only integrated into Bluez's CVS repository, so you need to download the CVS code (see http://www.bluez.org/development/cvs/ for help on this). Build and install both bluez-libs and bluez-utils, and then run "hciattach <your-serial-device> texas". hciattach will probe your chip and tell you what is the version of your bts file. Come back with that version and we could further help you. Hi All I am working omap platform and want to configure bluetooth chip brf6350 on UART port. I know bit about the support for these chips in bluez. But confused about the brf script used while calling "hciattach". Can anyone tell me how can get this script file. How would I know the firmware version for the chip I am using. I didn't find it in datasheet. Thanks for time consideration. Thanks and Best regards Pramod From Chandigarh to Chennai - find friends all over India. In general, if you are using 2.6.24 or higher, you don't need to do anything. Otherwise, you will have to patch it with the HCILL patch. That said, there are additional power management features we wrote for the OMAP platform (e.g., the chip can wake up the host on Bluetooth acitivity). If you're interested in those patches, take a look at http://brflinux.sourceforge.net/. > Where would I get the brf script file for my chip? That depends on the chip version and several decisions you should make. We have a dedicated mailing list for that - please write to brf...@li... for further assistance.
