The code for the Curses-based Brewnix and Tcl/Tk/Tix based BLH has been merged. It should appear in the CVS before the end of the month and Brewnix 1.1 will be released in the first half of November.
An older attempt at a TCL based GUI for brewnix (entitled 'Brewer's Little Helper') has been found, and is now available in the CVS tree, under the 'blh' branch. This may be folded into the main branch, or set up as a separate point in the future. It is included now only to have the source 'be' somewhere.
This software is NOT based on brewnix 1.2, and autoconf support does NOT exist as of yet.
Tarball will be available later this evening.
Debian package available. Not very tested at this point. Please try and report back on results.

An rpm is now available. It is compiled in Mandrake 7.0 on a PII. Please be careful with this file, as it is not much tested at this point.

New version of Brewnix is now available. Check: http://brewnix.sourceforge.net or check the downloads section here.
New features include autoconf support. Also features improved usage for non-root users.
For those who were befuddled as to how to get BrewNIX up and running, there is a new document under (naturally) the docs section. Entitled: v 1.01 README.first, it works with the tarball release.
Another new mailing list is up and running. This is for users of BrewNIX. This will be about how to use the software, and is unmoderated, so it's likely that some discussions of brewing will also pop up.
The brewnix-announce mailing list and archives are now available. This is a low volume list, and only traffic from some of the developer's is sent out. It is expected to have only one or two posts per month, primarily to announce new versions, but also requests for help.
This is not the place for help requests. For that, go to the forums at:

or, soon, the help mailing list.... read more
The development mailing list and archives are now available. Currently, more action is taking place on the forums at:

Requests must be okayed by George. This is to avoid people looking for brewing requests and so forth. There are many other places online for that sort of discussion. I would suggest the homebrew digest at:... read more
CVS is up and running. Seems a little wonky, not sure if I have it set right, but screw it for now.
This is a release for version 1.01 of BrewNIX. This is the most recent version to be found, and will serve as the jumping off point for further development.
