#5 Program hangs if not launched from console

As per subject, when brandy is not launched from a console terminal
the window opens, but there is no prompt and it can't be closed from
the window gadget.

(version 1.20.1 on openSUSE 13.2)

This is fixed on the Matrix Brandy fork, http://brandy.matrixnetwork.co.uk in V1.21.7.
