The normal verbose output is too much for me, so I made some changes to
raise the S/N ratio.
I'm using teranews.com, which has a huge retention history. I have to
wade through over tens of thousands of miss until I can get a hit. Last
time I tested, the -q takes just several seconds to finish, while using
-v option, I was still getting nowhere after 2 minutes seeing the output
of:
Message: 415904 (10724 of 97235, 11%)
Subject:
Plain
Rejected
Message: 415905 (10725 of 97235, 11%)
Subject:
Plain
Rejected
[...]
So, I separated the verbose output into 2 categories. One is informative
for normal user, and second is helpful for program debugging. One -v
switch gives you the first level while a second -v switch gives you the
second (debug) level.
