[BProc] bproc & RedHat kernels?

Anybody has some experience with bproc-patching some recent RedHat
kernel (e.g. kernel-2.4.18-18) ?

Of course there are tons of patches (cca. 200) added by RedHat and
immense space for conflicts, but maybe somebody resolved them?

(My motivation is HPT374 & ICH4 on Abit IT7 MAX2, even 2.4.20 does not
support these. 2.4.19-ac4 + some ide patch supports them but is not
trivial to patch by bproc.)
