I would personally favour the following look.
- Standard look out of the box.
- No adjustments needed.
If Yaoqiang wants to create more readable labels by styling them, which imho is not too bad, then this creates some problems:
- To get a consistent and clean looking diagram I cannot style only a few elements. In example: If I choose to style "Data Objects" then I should style them all. Otherwise it looks chaotic. Same applies to the other elements.
- But then on the other hand..... doesn't a diagram with too many style labels look chaotic too? So there needs to be a balance which might not be easy to find.
Well.... I think less colors and styles look better and are easier to handle.

Maybe there should be default styles for labels, by element type.
I think the only reasonable approach about using labels with a background comes with the color white on a white lane/process background. This way only a couple of labels have to be changed.
As soon as the background has a gradient, labels borders are visibel.
