    You can create connectors by dragging from task.

    I'm using 5.5.1 and I finally discovered the connectors. You need to mouse over the middle of the object e.g. task until a double headed arrow appears, then drag to the object you want to connect to. It is confusing as one would expect to find the connectors in the palette. Happy diagramming!!!
