Signavio Modeler integration with simulation engine

This section focuses on very brief description and visualization of Signavio modeler integration with Simulation Engine.

  • Following two images illustrates integration with Signavio Modeler to be able to provide simulation attributes next to the standard ones available for BPMN2.0
Simulation attributes for User Task in Signavio Modeler attributes section

  • Next step is to run the simulation, to do so on the toolbar there is a small icon of stop watch, once clicked following dialog will pop up to ask for some basic information prior to running the simulation

  • Once simulation is done, report will be displayed in separate tab (for the time being look and feel is not the best but work is on going to make it inline with Signavio Modeler style sheets

  • As can be seen, report includes model diagram as well for better readability of the simulated data. Since simulation is focused on alternative paths on the report user can identify all paths in the process be selecting path on the report

  • There are two more views on the report:
    • Activities - displays aggregated statistics for each of the activity on the diagram (including sequence flows)
    • Details - presents every path instances that was simulated with all activities on that path and their statistics

There is one more view to be done - Events where all Simulation Engine events (info, warning and errors) will be available.
