Since I upgraded to FC5, I cannot get BPALogin to
permit Internet access. I do get an IP address with
an 'ifup eth0' command. Concurrently, BPA is killing
off the 'heartbeat' authentication and I wondered if
port 5050 was no longer being used.

So there are two issues, which may or may not be
related:
1) Version of BPALogin for FC5
2) BPA in changeover from heartbeat authentication.

Many thanks,

I have since grabbed the following grep output from FC5.

    [root@Titan stewarta]# ps -ax |grep bpalogin |grep -v grep
Warning: bad syntax, perhaps a bogus '-'? See
    /usr/share/doc/procps-3.2.6/FAQ
    2747 ? S 0:00 /usr/sbin/bpalogin -
    c /etc/bpalogin.conf

Can anyone interpret this for me?

    Thanks

    Mate,
No more BPA login is required under Telstra new AAA system. It is based on MAC now.
