Could someone please shed some light on this error
message for me. (Not what it means but more to do
with what can cause it)
I have 2 RH Linux Firewalls
Old box = RH 7.1 - BPALogin works great and has done
for 12 months
New Box = RH 7.3 with the same firewall app & script
installed, the same BPALogin RPM installed and the
same BPALogin.conf file yet the new box gives the
following error message.
T_MSG_LOGIN_RESP - Login failure: other error
I have confirmed its not the network as I get assigned
an IP address and I can ping Bigpond and connect to
the FTP Server.
Old Box = Celeron 366MHz on old AOpen? MB
New Box = Duron 1.1GHz on MSI Mainboard

Thankyou in advance for your help

I have now built a RH 8.0 box with similar architecture as the
working RH 7.1 box and the same problem is coming up.
As this now looks like a definite software problem, could
someone please let me know who the developer is so this
    can be fixed. Thanks

Just a thought. Since you are moving boxes, did you
remember to spoof you original network card's MAC address
on the new boxes ? If not, you will get a Login failure : other
error message until Telstra's routers reset or you clone the
MAC address or transfer the original network card to your
    current box.

I had the same error before. Went on for hours. Tried all kinds
of MAC addresses but did not work. Had to call up helpdesk
and the guy on the phone changed my password and did
    some kind of "reset".

Then that was fixed. It wasn't a bpalogin problem as I've tried
installing Windows and the telstra Launchpad.
