I currently have to use Boost 1.48, so I use Boost.Log 1.1.

I know there's a huge list of new features and improvements in 2.0, but are there any specific bugs/problems in 1.1 unfixed I should be aware of?

There were some post-1.1 fixes in the SVN/branches/v1, so you probably should use it instead. Note however that v1 is no longer supported.

So these changes are not covered in the current 1.1 zipfile available for download and I should build from v1-branch?

I know 1.1. is no longer supported, but currently I cannot upgrade Boost to a version which requires Filesystem v3.
