Unable to Create folder line 632 iexplore.cpp

SUMMARY

The program appears to have a bug with Opera bookmark
folders which exist but have an empty name.

OS=XP-Pro. source browser=Opera, dest browsers=IE,
Mozilla

SYMPTOM

The symptom is that the program runs until the point
where it discovers such a folder, generates
correct output up to that point, and then writes an
incorrect error message stating
that it cannot create a folder which, in fact, it has
created, and which contains correct output.

DETAILS

Unable to Create "C:\Documents and Settings\<my
name>\Favorites/Manuals, TechRef, Tutorials/" Folder

The error occured on line 632 of C:
\Programming\Projects\bookmarkbridge\bookmarkbridge\ie
xplore.cpp

I downloaded 0.72 Beta onto my XP Pro system.
Configured Opera as the only source, Mozilla and IE as
destinations. Checked my settings, and ran. Got the
following error message:

The program failed, but the error message is incorrect, as
the folder it claimed it could not create was in fact
crated. Not only that, but all the data appears to be
there and starting up IE works with the links I spot
checked in that folder.

However, my Opera bookmarks have nine folders at the
top level, and only two were created on output--a small
one, 'Links', and a much larger one, 'Manuals, TechRef,
Tutorials'. This latter has 34 folders in it, including one
which appears to have a blank name (folder icon appears
in Opera's bookmark system, without a name). None of
the other eight top-level folders was created.

I went back into Opera, deleted this folder, deleted the
IE Favorites folders that had been created, and tried
again fresh.

This time I got this error:
Unable to Create "/Trash/" Folder
The error occured on line 632 of C:
\Programming\Projects\bookmarkbridge\bookmarkbridge\ie
xplore.cpp

Once again, the Trash folder was succesfully created,
but no folders higher in alpha sort order were
created (there was one, beginning with a 'Y').

I went into 'Manage Bookmarks' in Opera, and looked at
the Trash folder, and it showed that the Trash
folder had another, empty folder (with no name) under it.
I deleted this apparently nameless folder and the created
IE folders, exited Opera, and tried once again.

This time, I got the final "Bookmark merge is complete"
message.

I checked the results, and they look correct.

I don't have Opera, but get the same error - on a folder
with an exclamation mark as the first letter.

Is this project still operational? - the program is great!
