Version 0.8.0-devel has been released. The primary change is that passwords are now stored as a salted hash. Also includes some improvements to the search UI (thanks jshurst1).

Version 0.7.4-devel has been released. Sorry for the two releases in one week but this one is very minor. Only the templates files have been changed. The HTML templates now send a subtitle (page_title) to the header file so that each page can have a unique title. You'll need to add to your custom header file it you want to use it. Version 0.6-devel has been released. The most important change is that the 'Make an Offer' function has been refined to make it more difficult for the script to be used for sending bulk email. The code has also been significantly cleaned up.

Version 0.5-devel of the BookEX code has been released. The major change is switching back to cookies for session tracking, this time with better error checking. This version should be considered more 'in development' than the previous release but please test it if you can. A new development version of the BookEX code is now available. It can be seen in action at http://bookexchanges.com.

Changes include:
New usage statistics page.
Email reminders to remove books when sold.
'Make Offer' function
MyBooks Page - Consolodate user profile and add/modify/remove books.
Quick Search
Contact Page
Enabled compiled templates for better performance
Simplified FormChek.js removes errors in IE.

The BookEX code currently being developed on is now available in the CVS
repository. This code may not work, not even a little bit. But then

New features currently under development include:
-Usage statistics page.
-Email reminders.
-Simple contact form.

Version 0.4-devel has been released. This release is based on the code used in production at http://sga.utdallas.edu/OLBE/. It should be considered pretty usable, although certainly not finished.
