while bonding 2 gigabit cards (sk98lin driver) i
observed that w/ the
driver in kernel up to 2.4.19 it is not possible to
change the
mtu of the bond itself. sysconnect suggests to enable
jumbo framing
of their cards by setting a mtu of 9000 but the bonding
driver stays
w/ a mtu of 1500. this results in non-connectivity
beyond packet sizes
of 1500. do i do sth. wrong or does the bonding driver
really not support mtu changes as of now?

Hi there,
Has this issue been addressed in the last year? At work we
are considering setting up a bonded gigabit connection using
4 GigE cards, potentially using jumbo frames due to our data
flow needs. If we can't use JF on a bonded connection, it'd
be nice to know that now rather than banging my head against
a wall. Please let me know, thanks!

I have the same problem trying to bond two tigon3 cards at
9000 mtu. Would it be simple to implement the change or
provide a patch to support jumbo frames?
