There are specific vendor features for implementing MECs (Multi Chassis Etherchannels).
Cisco has vPC on Nexus and VSS on cat6k, there sure are others.

Hello I have few questions about setting up LACP, nad more specifically, setting it up across multiples switches.
Unless I have mistaken, recent reading made me think having a redundant lacp aggregate over multiples switches is now possible.
Tipically i'd like to have one LACP bonding interface connected to 2 switches (2ethernet on each switch for instance).
- Does a special feature is needed at the switch level?
- Does the switches needs to be interconnected to each other?
Reading many docs (including bonding.txt) I find the word "aggregator". What does it refer to?
