#9 Request for Documentation Update
Hello!
I fighted some days with active backup mode and several
different models of switches, until I found out that
the bonding.txt file is just wrong in the Switch
Configuration section.
Here's my suggestion for an updated text:
old:
Switch Configuration

While the switch does not need to be configured when
the active-backup, balance-tlb or balance-alb policies
(mode=1,5,6) are used, it does need to be configured
for the round-robin, XOR, broadcast, or 802.3ad
policies (mode=0,2,3,4).
new:
Switch Configuration
====================
While a lot of switches do not need to be configured
when the active-backup, balance-tlb or balance-alb
policies (mode=1,5,6) are used, some models need to
know that the two or more ports are used together (and
therefore own the same MAC address). Switches _always_
need to be configured for the round-robin, XOR,
broadcast, or 802.3ad policies (mode=0,2,3,4).
